Being an Agriculture and Science teacher has allowed me to represent young people and particularly young women in Agriculture and STEM. In an industry traditionally dominated by men, it is fantastic to support so many young women showing a keen interest and developing their skill set.
Teaching has allowed me to provide opportunities for students to be on the forefront of technology and innovation through applying for our school to receive an iFarm and take part in programs such as the School Merino Wether Challenge.
It is such a privilege to witness your students growing in their confidence, engaging with current industry leaders and being inspired to make a difference in the future of food and fibre production. Teaching is a dynamic career that constantly challenges me to be better than I was yesterday and to never stop learning.
